Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in flour, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, and bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing and cooling completely on a wire rack.
