Ingredients
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, evaporated milk, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
- Once the mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat to low and let simmer for 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and cayenne pepper. Stir until the chocolate chips are completely melted.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8x8 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and let cool for at least 3 hours before serving.
