Ingredients
- 200g pork mince
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 2 teaspoons cornflour
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 30 wonton wrappers
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 litres chicken stock
- 200g baby bok choy, washed and finely sliced
Directions
- In a bowl, mix together the pork mince, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, cornflour, water and salt. Mix until everything is well-combined.
- Lay out the wonton wrappers and place one teaspoon of the pork mixture in the centre of each wonton wrapper.
- Using your finger, moisten the edges of the wonton wrappers with a little water.
- Fold the wrapper in half and press the edges together to seal.
- In a large saucepan, heat the vegetable oil until it is hot. Add the wontons and fry for 3 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Add the chicken stock and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the bok choy and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Ladle the soup into 4 bowls and serve.
