- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs (room temperature)
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup poppy seeds
- 1/2 cup candied citrus peel
- 1/4 cup brandy
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the raisins, almonds, poppy seeds, and candied citrus peel. Fold in the brandy until just combined.
- Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet and shape into a log. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the Stollen to cool before slicing and serving.
