  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs (room temperature)
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup candied citrus peel
  • 1/4 cup brandy

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, until fully incorporated.

  4. Stir in the raisins, almonds, poppy seeds, and candied citrus peel. Fold in the brandy until just combined.
