Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Stir in the almond extract.
Stir in the cooked rice. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool before serving.
