Ingredients
1 pound of penne pasta
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
1/2 cup of white wine
1 cup of heavy cream
1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 pound of asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
4 ounces of prosciutto, cut into thin strips

Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta according to package directions.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 1 minute.
Add the white wine and cook until reduced by half, about 3 minutes.
Stir in the cream and Parmesan cheese and bring to a simmer.
Add the asparagus and prosciutto and cook until the asparagus is tender, about 5 minutes.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce and vegetables. Stir to combine.
Season with salt and pepper and serve.
