1 (15 ounce) can of white beans, drained and rinsed
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub the pork shank all over with the mixture.
Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe pot over medium-high heat. Add the pork shank and brown on all sides, about 8 minutes.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the garlic and onion to the pot. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the chicken broth and white beans to the pot and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and then transfer to the preheated oven.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the liquid has reduced by half.
Serve hot.
