Ingredients
- 2 large ripe peaches, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup diced fresh ginger
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Optional: 1 tablespoon honey for added sweetness
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the diced peaches, diced ginger, maple syrup, spices, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Add the almond milk, sea salt, and lemon juice. Blend the mixture with a hand blender until smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with honey, if desired.
- Pour into individual bowls and serve cold.
