Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe peaches, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup diced fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon honey for added sweetness

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the diced peaches, diced ginger, maple syrup, spices, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the almond milk, sea salt, and lemon juice. Blend the mixture with a hand blender until smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness with honey, if desired.
  5. Pour into individual bowls and serve cold.
