Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add garlic and onion to skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Return beef to skillet and stir in diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until beef is tender.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles.
