1/3 cup of your favorite fruit preserves (strawberry, raspberry, or apricot)
1/4 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beating well after each addition.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
Spread the cream cheese evenly over the batter.
Spoon the fruit preserves over the cream cheese.
Spread the remaining batter over the top.
In a small bowl, combine the sugar and flour. Cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over the top of the cake.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool before serving.
