Ingredients
- 1/2 pound lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned.
- Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, red wine, oregano, basil, thyme, red pepper flakes, and chipotle peppers to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a 9x13 baking dish, layer the lasagna noodles, beef mixture, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese, repeating until all ingredients are used.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
