Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups peeled and chopped peaches
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugars, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, and buttermilk.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the peaches and walnuts (if using).
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread into an even layer.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
