- 1 pound bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

- 3 cups cubed day-old bread
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, cook the onion, bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper until tender. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the bacon, onion mixture, cheese, eggs, milk, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the cubed bread to the egg mixture and stir until combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown and set.
