Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup orange zest
- 1/2 cup orange custard filling
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the orange juice, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the orange zest. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Drop the orange custard filling by teaspoonfuls over the batter. Swirl with a knife to marbleize.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
