Ingredients
2 cups white sugar

1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
Directions
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
Continue to boil the mixture without stirring until the temperature reaches 260°F (127°C) on a candy thermometer.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and cream of tartar.
Pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch square baking dish.
Allow the candy to cool for 1-2 hours, or until firm.
Once cool, use a knife to cut the candy into small pieces.
