Ingredients

  • 4 medium turnips, peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add the diced turnips and cook for 8 minutes or until fork tender.
  3. Drain the turnips and return them to the pot.
  4. Add the butter, caraway seeds, salt and pepper to the pot and mash with a potato masher until desired consistency.
  5. Serve warm.
