Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the water and vanilla.
Combine the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture.
Mix in the chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges are lightly toasted.
Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
