Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups quick cooking oats
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the water and vanilla.
- Combine the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture.
- Mix in the chocolate chips.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges are lightly toasted.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
