- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 2 tablespoons coarse sugar (for topping)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin with butter or cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract. Add milk and mix until combined.
- Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fill each muffin cup 1/2 full with batter. Drop a teaspoon of Nutella into the center of each muffin. Top with remaining batter.
- Sprinkle with coarse sugar and bake 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
