1 can (15 ounces) of black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (4 ounces) of chopped green chiles
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring occasionally, until it is browned. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the onion and garlic and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add the cumin, chili powder, oregano, tomatoes, beef broth, beans, chiles, and salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the stew has thickened.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve warm.
