Ingredients
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange chicken breasts in the baking dish.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and mushrooms, and cook until onion is soft. Stir in cheese until melted.
- Spoon mushroom mixture over chicken breasts. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
