Ingredients
- 1kg beef, cut into cubes
- 3 onions, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 cup of red wine
- 1/2 cup of beef stock
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef cubes and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the onions and garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste, oregano, cumin, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves, red wine, and beef stock and bring to a boil.
- Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8 hours.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
