Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegan sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt and vegan sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, melted vegan butter and vanilla extract.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined.
  4. Heat a waffle iron and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Pour the desired amount of batter onto the waffle iron and cook for 4-6 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve with vegan butter, maple syrup, and fresh fruit.
