Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
Directions
- In a large stockpot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it is just browned, about 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the beef and stir to combine.
- Add the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add the heavy cream, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese and stir until the cream cheese and cheese are melted and the soup is creamy.
- Add the bacon and green onion and stir to combine.
- Serve hot.
