1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix together until combined.
In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
