Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 bell peppers, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage until it is no longer pink. Drain the fat.
  3. Add the bell pepper and onion to the sausage and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the garlic, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Cook for an additional 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  6. Transfer the sausage mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  7. Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve immediately.
