Place pork ribs in a single layer in a baking dish.
Rub vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper into the ribs. Bake for 30 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, and Chinese five-spice powder. Pour over the ribs.
