Ingredients
- 2 lbs. rutabaga, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup heavy cream, optional
Directions
- Add the rutabaga and chicken broth to the Instant Pot.
- Secure the lid and set the steam valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
- Quick release the pressure and open the lid.
- Drain off any excess liquid and add the butter. Use a potato masher to mash the rutabaga until it is smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if desired. Add the cream if using.
