Ingredients
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper

Directions
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.

Drop the batter by the tablespoonful into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Flip the puffs over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Transfer the puffs to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Serve warm.
