Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 can of Spam, diced
- Oil for frying
Directions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the water and butter and mix until a thick batter forms.
- Add the diced Spam and mix until combined.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add enough oil to cover the bottom of the skillet.
- Drop the batter by the tablespoonful into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the puffs over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the puffs to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Serve warm.
