- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.
- In a medium saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to a rolling boil.
- Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously until mixture forms a ball and leaves sides of pan.
- Turn dough into a mixing bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time, making sure each is thoroughly incorporated before adding the next.
- Stir in cheese.
- Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in preheated oven, or until golden brown.
