Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and honey.
  4. Alternately add the dry ingredients and the milk to the creamed mixture. Fold in the apples.
  5. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
