Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups diced onion
- 2 cups diced celery
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 cups cubed bread
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion and celery; season with salt and pepper. Cook and stir until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
- Place bread cubes in a large bowl. Pour onion mixture over bread; stir in chicken broth and parsley. Mix together until evenly moistened.
- Transfer stuffing to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with foil.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
