- 500g fresh okra pods
 
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
 
- 1 onion, finely chopped
 
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
 
- 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, grated
 
- 2 tomatoes, diced
 
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
 
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
 
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
 
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
 
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
 
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
 
- 1/4 cup water
 
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
 
Directions
- Wash the okra pods and pat them dry. Trim the ends and cut them into 1-inch pieces.
