- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup chopped crystallized ginger
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground ginger, salt, and brown sugar. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in crystallized ginger, walnuts, and nutmeg.
- Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring until a soft dough is formed.
- Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
