Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 cup forbidden rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
- 1 jalapeno, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 cup frozen green peas
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Directions
- Cook the forbidden rice according to package instructions. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped jalapeno. Saute until the onion is translucent and the mixture is fragrant.
- Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up into crumbles with a wooden spoon.
