Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic in the olive oil until the beef is cooked through, about 8 minutes.
  2. Add the cumin, paprika, coriander, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the tahini and water until smooth.
  4. Add the tahini mixture to the skillet and stir to combine.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve over cooked rice or couscous.
