Ingredients
- 4 slices rye bread
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 slices smoked turkey
- 1/2 cup sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup thousand island dressing
Directions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter onto one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, butter side down, onto the heated skillet.
- Top each slice of bread with a slice of cheese, followed by a slice of turkey and a heaping tablespoon of sauerkraut.
- Spread thousand island dressing onto the remaining two slices of bread, then place each slice on top of one of the sandwiches.
- Cook the sandwiches for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
- Serve warm!
