Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup Gorgonzola cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices tomato
- 4 leaves lettuce
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix with your hands until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties. Place the patties on a plate and set aside.
- Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the burgers are cooked through.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with Gorgonzola cheese and chopped basil. Allow the cheese to melt before removing the burgers from the heat.
- To assemble the burgers, place a patty on each hamburger bun. Top each patty with a slice of tomato and a lettuce leaf. Serve immediately.
