Ingredients
- 4 slices of Italian bread
- 1/2 pound of thinly sliced steak
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 4 slices of cheese (your favorite)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steak to the pan and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes, flipping once, until both sides are cooked through.
- Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
- Add the olive oil to the pan and then add the onions and bell peppers. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened.
- Add the steak back to the pan and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- To assemble the sandwiches, place a slice of cheese on each slice of bread. Divide the steak and vegetables and place them on top of the cheese. Top with the remaining slice of cheese.
- Cook the sandwiches on the griddle or in the skillet until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
