Ingredients

  • 4 slices of Italian bread
  • 1/2 pound of thinly sliced steak
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices of cheese (your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the steak to the pan and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes, flipping once, until both sides are cooked through.
  4. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
  5. Add the olive oil to the pan and then add the onions and bell peppers. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened.
  6. Add the steak back to the pan and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. To assemble the sandwiches, place a slice of cheese on each slice of bread. Divide the steak and vegetables and place them on top of the cheese. Top with the remaining slice of cheese.
  8. Cook the sandwiches on the griddle or in the skillet until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  9. Enjoy!
