Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup raisins
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together melted butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg. Stir in buttermilk. Add dry ingredients, and mix until blended.
- Stir in walnuts and raisins. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
