In a small bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Gradually stir in the sifted ingredients until just blended.
Stir in the chocolate chips. Drop cookie dough by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool for 1 minute before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
