Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups gluten-free flour
- 1-1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- Coarse salt, for topping
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the warm water and butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 425°F. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece of dough into a rope about 10 inches long. Twist the rope into a pretzel shape and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the baking soda. Drop the pretzels into the boiling water for 30 seconds.
- Remove the pretzels from the water and place them back on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
