Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, ginger, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Add the chicken strips to the marinade and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
- Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade.
- Brush the grill with the vegetable oil.
- Grill the chicken strips for about 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Serve the chicken satay with the chopped cilantro, if desired.
