Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 (16 ounce) package lasagna noodles
  • 1 (16 ounce) package cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large saucepan, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Drain off the fat.
  3. Add salt, pepper, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain.
  5. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer one third of the noodles, half of the cottage cheese, one third of the sauce, and one third of the Cheddar cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers, ending with the Cheddar cheese.
  7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
