Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) pre-made pie crust
- 2 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mash sweet potatoes with a fork or potato masher.
- Stir in sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, eggs, butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake an additional 20 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
