Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds boneless pork shoulder roast
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup coconut aminos
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture onto the pork roast.
  3. Place the roast in a roasting pan and pour the coconut aminos, water, honey, liquid smoke, and apple cider vinegar over the pork.
  4. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place in the oven to roast for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. After 1 1/2 hours, remove the foil and continue roasting for an additional 30 minutes or until the pork is fork-tender.
  6. Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
