Ingredients

  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cardamom, salt, pepper, coriander, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and lemon juice. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and coat evenly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  4. Serve the chicken with warm pita bread, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, and tzatziki sauce.
