Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped chives
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped dill
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 small slices of cucumber
  • 4 small slices of carrot
  • 4 small slices of radish

Directions

  1. Fill a medium-sized pot with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Carefully place the eggs in the boiling water and let cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove the eggs from the boiling water and place in a bowl of ice water for 5 minutes.
  4. Carefully peel the eggs and set aside.
  5. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper and mix until combined.
  6. Add the chives, parsley, dill, bell pepper, onion, and cheese and mix until combined.
  7. Spread the mixture evenly over the eggs, making sure to cover the entire surface.
  8. Place the cucumber slices on one end of the egg to create the eyes and beak of the chick.
  9. Place the carrot slices on the other end of the egg to create the wings of the chick.
  10. Place the radish slices on the top of the egg to create the feet of the chick.
  11. Serve chilled.
