Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 6-8 burger buns
- 2-3 sliced onions
- 1-2 sliced tomatoes
- 1-2 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying
Directions
- In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef mixture and cook until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
- Toast the buns lightly in a toaster or oven.
- In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and tomatoes and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the green chili, cilantro, chaat masala, red chili powder and cooked beef. Cook until the mixture is heated through, about 3 minutes.
- To assemble the kabab buns, place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each bun and top with some of the onion and tomato mixture. Serve immediately.
