Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 6-8 burger buns
  • 2-3 sliced onions
  • 1-2 sliced tomatoes
  • 1-2 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef mixture and cook until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  4. Toast the buns lightly in a toaster or oven.
  5. In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and tomatoes and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the green chili, cilantro, chaat masala, red chili powder and cooked beef. Cook until the mixture is heated through, about 3 minutes.
  7. To assemble the kabab buns, place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each bun and top with some of the onion and tomato mixture. Serve immediately.
