Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Make a well in the center, and add the melted butter, eggs, yogurt, and cherries. Stir until just moistened. Pour into prepared loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
