Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 hamburger buns, split
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until the beef is browned and the vegetables are softened, about 10 minutes.
- Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard powder, salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Spoon the mixture onto the hamburger buns and serve immediately.
